Those Blue Skies

A crossmedia project by Adrian Kelterborn

THOSE BLUE SKIES is a cross-media project by Adrian Kelterborn based on the photographic work ‘The Blue Skies Project’ by Anton Kusters. 1078 Polaroid photos of blue skies represent 1078 concentration camps that existed in Europe during the Nazi era. THOSE BLUE SKIES explores this European memory space on two vectors: a mini-series highlights memory tasks in different places and shows how memory culture means something different in each country. On a web vector, different generations in different places interpret the Blue Skies in video portraits, showing a cross-section of today’s memory discourse.
